Viewpoint Wines
Fabulous views @ Viewpoint Wines, as the name would imply.
This gem is so hidden, we accidentally found it driving up Fourmile Canyon on the way to Gold Hill. Viewpoint Wines is a small, family-owned, small batch winery that operates out of the owner's home. We really can't say enough great things about our wine tasting experience! You must call ahead to schedule a private tasting. So there we were, just our small group having our own, personal wine tasting. We sampled 6 wines, all while eating our cheese plate that we brought (BYOCP😂). The tasting is $10 and it is waived with purchase of a bottle or glass (which we did - the wines were fantastic!) After that, we moved out to the patio where they offered to let us open and enjoy our bottles of wine we had just purchased. Overall, a great experience that we highly recommend!
Know Before You Go: Because this winery is in the winemaker's home, there are not public restrooms for use. Although apparently it's not frowned upon to go in the woods nearby, we recommend going beforehand.
Dagabi Cucina
Free wine for Ladies' night on the patio!
Dagabi Cucina has been in Boulder for many years much to our surprise! As two people who are constantly on the lookout googling the foodie scene in Boulder, we can safely say this place is a hidden gem. It's a little off the beaten path - in North Boulder tucked away in a courtyard. First of all, it's adorable. The inside is quaint-- but larger than it seems at first glance. It also has a tucked away patio with those bulb string lights we all love. Inside or outside, we recommend this neighborhood spot to anyone who loves tapas (or just Spanish/Italian food in general). Not to mention, they have DAILY happy hour from 5-6:30 (includes weekends - jackpot!) and all night happy hour on Tuesdays. Ladies, don't miss out on their ladies' night special, which is a free glass of wine-- no additional purchase necessary! Pro tip: go on a Sunday during happy hour with your girlfriends, grab a glass of wine and some (very reasonably priced) tapas, and your bill will be virtually nonexistent! Overall, we have been very happy with all of the tapas, drinks, and service at Dagabi, and it really feels like our little secret. We love it so much, we are now rethinking sharing it with you all 😬
The Greenbriar Inn
You can find this pond in the back area of the Greenbriar. Great place for photo ops!
The Greenbriar Inn has graced Boulder with its presence since 1967. That is a lot of time to perfect your art - and they certainly have. Just 15 minutes north of downtown Boulder, it is nestled in the foothills with unbeatable views. They have a great happy hour and fancy dinner, but they are really known for their brunch. It's a little on the pricey side ($40 per person) but this includes an unlimited brunch buffet. Not just your average brunch either -- you can have carved lamb, roast prime rib, oysters on the half shell, and chef prepared omelettes (just to name a few). They also have a pastry chef on site that makes delectable baked goods. If this is a little out of budget, head in for happy hour Tues-Sun 5-7pm for fabulous food at a reasonable price. We recommend the patio if you can catch a warm fall day!
No Name Bar
True to it's name, this speakeasy style bar is tucked away in a strip mall without any markings on the outside to indicate that there are amazing craft cocktails inside. The door is large and wooden, which does look a bit misplaced in the strip mall and it's located directly next to Cosmo's pizza on The Hill. They often have live music and although the cocktails can be on the pricier side, they are definitely made with love. It's a perfect spot to start or end an evening!
